MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Planet Hollywood came down Tuesday and there’s been a lot of talk on social media about businesses closing or moving to new locations along the Grand Strand, specifically within Broadway at the Beach.
Revolutions night club is closing, the owners posted on Facebook that after 20 years they will be shutting their doors for good. They will be celebrating with a blowout party on Wednesday November 4th. News13 reached out to the owners on the closing and future plans, but they have no comment at this time.
Broadway Louie’s is moving to the former location of Rodeo’s nightclub, where crews could be seen moving furniture in Wednesday and the sign has been changed. A manager implied changes were coming; but would not comment on whether the old location would close. The same manager had no comment on if any changes were coming to the affiliated Club Boca, Froggy Bottoms, or Malibu’s.
News13 also reached out to Hard Rock International about a potential change in location for the restaurant, they responded, “Since our opening in 1995, Myrtle Beach has been and continues to be an important market for Hard Rock Cafe. Hard Rock International evaluates development opportunities on a regular basis, including potential relocations. We typically will not comment on deals or locations until finalized.”
Burroughs & Chapin, the owners of Broadway at the Beach, say they do not comment on any contractual matters with tenants. According to spokesperson, Lei Gainer, “Over the last 20 years, Broadway at the Beach has become one of the premier experiential retail and entertainment complexes on the East Coast. Throughout that time, our goal has been to keep Broadway fresh so that visitors will continue to come back year after year.”
